On 30th May 2020, the Young Society of Construction Law (YSCL) continued the #YSCLclassroom series with a webinar titled “CIPAA Simplified: A Practical Guide to Construction Adjudication”, which we organised in collaboration with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).
The webinar featured Rohan Arasoo Jeyabalah (Harold & Lam Partnership), Michelle Sunita Kummar (AIAC), Tasha Lim Yi Chien (Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill) and Adly Zulkefly (Azmi & Associates).
The session was moderated by our committee member, Eric Gabriel Gomez (Skrine).
The panellists gave our viewers a detailed and comprehensive guide of the CIPAA process, complete with practical advice and top tips for every single step of the adjudication process, from the Payment Claim up to the Adjudication Decision. This was supplemented with an explanation from our panel about the various options available to the parties once an Adjudication Decision has been rendered.
