On 1st May 2020, the Young Society of Construction Law (YSCL) excitedly made its debut into our Youth Empowerment Series – a special little place where we invite exceptional guest speakers to share their insights on specific topics, their own success stories, as well as practical tips for young professionals and students.
In Episode 1 our theme was “Young and Female in Construction”. With the help of our hosts Laarnia Rajandran and Nadiah A. Nazri, we interviewed Grace Chaw, one of Malaysia’s leading construction lawyers and the head of her own practice, Grace Chaw & Co.
Grace shared with our audience some of her professional highs and lows as a young woman in a primarily male-dominated industry (some of those stories were quite close to the heart), and also gave some very practical advice to junior professionals just starting out in their careers.
